EPOS ERIC

As we assess where best to connect and share meaningful scientific content, we’ve decided to transition our social media focus from X to other platforms. EPOS ERIC will cease activities on its official profile on the X social media platform (formerly known as Twitter), effective as of December 1, 2024.

This choice reflects our commitment to fostering a communication environment that upholds the values we believe to be crucial to the scientific community such as openness, truthfulness, inclusivity, respect, and transparency. Over time, we’ve observed that X has shifted away from a space where these values can thrive, with the platform increasingly promoting politically-focused and unsubstantiated content that creates space for divisiveness.

We’re observing many in the scientific community are leaving X these days and are moving to other channels and seeing less and less engagement from those who used to follow us on the platform. From our perspective, this ongoing exodus of community members means that there is now little value left for EPOS in using the platform, and that we need to recreate this human network elsewhere.

We believe that currently LinkedIn provides the professional and constructive environment that best supports our mission and your interests and we invite you to join us there, where we’ll continue to share updates, research insights, and collaborative opportunities.

We would like to thank those of you who have been part of our journey on X and we look forward to (re)connecting with you soon in the future!
