EPOS ON is coordinated by EPOS ERIC, which is responsible for the overall strategic, administrative, financial and operational management of the project. The governance structure has been designed to ensure effective coordination, transparent decision-making, quality assurance, and the successful delivery of project objectives.
The project governance is based on three main bodies:
Project Council (PC)
The Project Council is the main decision-making body of the project and includes one representative from each beneficiary. It provides strategic oversight, reviews project progress, and supports key decisions throughout the project lifecycle.
Optimization and Evolution Board (OEB)
The Optimization and Evolution Board brings together the leaders of all Work Packages. It monitors project implementation, assesses progress towards objectives, and ensures that project results contribute effectively to the optimisation and evolution of the EPOS Research Infrastructure.
Advisory Board (AB)
The Advisory Board is composed of independent external experts from relevant scientific, technical, research infrastructure and stakeholder communities. The Board provides strategic advice and external perspectives, supporting the quality, relevance and long-term impact of project activities.
A key element of the governance framework is the continuous interaction with the EPOS ERIC Service Coordination Committee (SCC), which represents the EPOS thematic communities and technical services. This interaction ensures that project outcomes are aligned with the needs, priorities and long-term development of the EPOS Research Infrastructure.
