The National Institute of Geophysics and Volcanology (INGV) has opened two positions for highly skilled professionals to join the EPOS team as part of the ENVRI-Hub NEXT project. This is an exciting opportunity to collaborate in an innovative, international research environment that drives forward the integration of scientific data and the advancement of earth sciences.
We are seeking candidates for the following technical profiles:
-Profile A: Development and maintenance of graphical interfaces for geo-referenced data.
- Profile B: Virtual research environments in geosciences.
Both positions are based in Rome and offer a 12-month fixed-term contract as Collaboratore Tecnico degli Enti di Ricerca (Research Organizations' Technical Collaborator), at Level VI.
Who Should Apply?
We are looking for professionals with a secondary school diploma or higher, good English and Italian language skills, and attitude to work collaboratively within an international team. The ideal candidates will bring a passion for innovation and a commitment to advancing research in the geosciences.
Mandatory requirements and qualifications
For Profile A (Graphical Interfaces Development): Proven experience in GUI development and front-end/back-end integration is essential.
For Profile B (Virtual Research Environments): Expertise in Linux/Unix system administration, the development of software modules, microservices web applications, and the management of relational databases is required.
