The Karst Research Institute (ZRC SAZU), upon the Slovenian Presidency of the Council of the European Union and in collaboration with EPOS ERIC and EPOS SP project, will organise an international Info-Day meeting tailored to Balkan Area countries.
The INFO-DAY: Integration of Balkan countries within the Environmental Research Infrastructures Network will be held online on the 9th of December 2021.
Pre-registration is needed before the 25th of November 2021, via this form (the meeting has no registration fee).
The EPOS Info-Day will be an opportunity to present the global perspectives of the EPOS pan-European infrastructure and to highlight its impact for solid Earth science. The event is dedicated to potential geoscience users and stakeholders from the Balkan countries (Croatia, Bosnia, Serbia, Montenegro, Northern Macedonia, Albania, Kosovo): scientists from research organizations and universities, policy-makers, and other people interested in learning about EPOS, its provision in terms of scientific data, products and services as well as to foster interregional and international cooperation in an enlarged Europe, across its borders.
The integration of Balkan countries to EPOS ERIC is very important for the complexity of the EPOS Research Infrastructure, for the exchange of scientific data and international cooperation.
