TSUNAMI
DESCRIPTION
The Thematic Core Service (TCS) Tsunami coordinates tsunami-related services within the EPOS infrastructure. These services include real-time sensor and historical data, numerical models and applications, and hazard and risk products. Established in 2024, the TCS Tsunami is organized as a consortium comprising 18 partner institutions from 11 European countries. Its services are structured around four pillars: Support to Tsunami Service Providers, Tsunami Data, Numerical Models, and Hazard and Risk Products.

GOVERNANCE
The main governing bodies of the TCS Tsunami include:
● Consortium Board (CB): Acts as the General Assembly of the TCS.
● Executive Board (EB): Handles operations, including organizing meetings, communicating with EPOS-ERIC, and representing the TCS in EPOS-ERIC committees , composed of 18 members representing various functional roles and thematic Pillars.
Consortium and Executive boards are being consulted by the 5 advisory committees including:
● Strategy and Scientific Board (SSB): Focuses on community strategy for developing new and advanced services or standards.
● Tsunami Service Providers (TSP) Group: Addresses TSP-specific requests and service needs, supporting official Tsunami Early Warning efforts in the Mediterranean.
● User Feedback Group: Provides advice on service performance and user requests
● VA/TA Provider Committee: Discusses technical, financial, and policy aspects of service provision.
● TA Selection Committee: Oversees transnational (TA) calls and proposal evaluations.
Additional permanent or temporary boards may be created as needed by decisions of the Consortium Board.
