Between the 18-22th September, 2023, a successful series of EPOS Thematic Core Service -Anthropogenic Hazards (TCS-AH) events took place in Luleå, Sweden. The events included the TCS-AH consortium board annual meeting and a Scientific Workshop on Mining & Post-Mining Seismicity held at the Luleå University of Technology (LTU).

Alongside section and activity reports, EPOS ERIC news, external committee recommendations and discussions on the consortiums 2024 plans, voting took place to confirm the appointment of new TCS-AH director Ania Leśnodorska followed by a warm welcome and presentation from Ania on the future plans for the TCS.

Mining and post-mining seismicity workshop
Hosted by Professor Savka Dineva and organised in collaboration with TCS-AH, LTU, EPOS-SE (Sweden), INERIS and RFCS PostMinQuake, the hybrid workshop gathered representatives from the mining industry and research community to share knowledge, recent advances and industry insights on mining and post-mining seismicity. 64 people from Europe and beyond attended with 32 participating in-person and 32 online.
