The EGU 22 General Assembly has been rescheduled to May 23 to 27, 2022. The hybrid event, which will be held in Vienna, Austria, and online, was initially scheduled to happen in April but has been postponed due to changes in regulations on events in Austria.

The EGU (European Geosciences Union) also announced a change in the presentations. All presentations will now have only one format, "Short Orals", with between 15 and 20 abstracts per 1.5 hours timeslot, in a mix of in-person and online presentations.

Lastly, the EGU has extended the deadline for the submission of late abstracts to 26 January 2022, at 13:00 CET. This year, the fee to submit late abstracts has been reduced to 45€.

If participants cannot attend the EGU General Assembly on the new dates they can withdraw their abstracts and ask for a full refund of the Abstract Processing Charge before 26 January 2022.
