EPOS IP TCS internal meetings and Parallel sessions @ 2nd EPOS IP TCS-ICS Integration Workshop in Prague

Parallel sessions about Legal-Governance-Financial Implementation, TCS-ICS Technical Implementation issues and Communication strategy are organized to discuss criticalities and mitigation actions.

2nd EPOS IP TCS-ICS Integration Workshop in Prague

The 1st of March Plenary session with the goals to create a common understanding and awareness of the forthcoming EPOS IP challenges and identifying key issues to be solved during the workshop.

EPOS presented @ 2nd CREEP Workshop, Roma Tre University, 13-16 February 2017

The EPOS IP project coordinator presented the EPOS (European Plate Observing System ) experience: Data and Services for solid Earth Science: Open Science and Ethics Issues to the CREEP young scientists in Geodynamics, Mineral Physics, Seismology, Fluid Mechanics, and Materials Sciences who attended the second CREEP workshop.

8th EPOS IP Board of Government Representatives meeting, Warsaw, 23-24 February 2017

The meeting is focused on discussing the step 1 submission of the ERIC and it will represent a cornerstone for the legal establishment of EPOS-ERIC.

EPOS IP Project Development Board met in a teleconference on February the 3rd 2017

The PDB members discussed the preparation of the next Board of Governmental Representatives meeting on February and the EPOS Integration workshop on March 1 and 2 2017.

7th Munich Earth Skience School in Computational Seismology, February 19-24, 2017

The Munich Earth Skience School is organizing the 7th winter school in Sudelfeld near Munich the week from the 19th until the 24th February, 2017. This workshop combines the thrill of learning, studying, and practicing seismology, with the thrill of wintersports and being out in nature.

As usual the workshop will start with a quick introduction to Python and ObsPy with focus on recent developments and new features training of novel directions in computational seismology (new spectral element code salvus, 3D perturbations of axisem, homogenization).

EPOS attended the VRE4EC workshop in Athens, 23-24 January 2017

Some EPOS IT key players attended the VRE4EC workshop which was held on January 23rd and 24th. 2017 in Athens.

Outcomes of the EPOS Norway annual workshop in Utrecht

19-20 January 2017, EPOS-Norway arranged a workshop where all project partners as well as external parties were welcome to join. The overall purpose of the workshop was for all involved with EPOS to meet and discuss the project, and for external participants to learn more about EPOS.
