On Wednesday 28 October 2020 the OGS (National Institute of Oceanography and Applied Geophysics), in collaboration with the RISE project “enlaRgIng EPOS mEmbership", a CEI Cooperation Activity, will organise a virtual Conference titled:
"Perspectives towards a Central and South-Eastern European Partner Facility for Solid Earth Science”.
The main goal of the conference is to promote actions in the framework of the CEI “Trieste Declaration on Science" and as also indicated in the project RISE, is to present the cooperation opportunities between EU countries and the European Plate Observatory System (EPOS) and to explore the opportunity to establish a Regional Partner Facility in the form of a transnational Institute network.
The meeting will encourage the involvement of new partners in EPOS, while improving the knowledge of possible services and data to be connected to the existing EPOS infrastructure.
Two attendees per Country (one representative of the respective ministry in charge of science and research; one representative of the respective scientific community) are expected to attend the conference.
