EPOS will lead a co-organized session on Integrated Research Infrastructures and Services in Geosciences (SM5.1/ESSI2.10/GI1.6), to discuss current and future developments in geoscience research infrastructures convened by Massimo Cocco, the EPOS IP project Coordinator, Florian Haslinger, Helen Glaves and Lilli Freda. Several experts and scientists from international Research Infrastructures and e-infrastructures have submitted abstracts to the session, not limited to solid Earth sciences and not limited to European infrastructures.
The oral and the poster sessions will offer a unique opportunity to discuss and share visions, solutions and architectures to tackle the current challenges for implementing and operation research infrastructures for geo-sciences.
The session description and the abstracts of the oral session and the poster session will be available on March the 02nd, 2017.
EPOS visibility throughout the event will furthermore be ensured through a dedicated exhibit booth, stand #112 and #113 at Green Level 1, First floor.
The stand will be an active place for discussion as well as of presentations about the EPOS implementation Phase achievements and the future steps towards the e-infrastructure construction within the framework of the ERIC legal entity. At the stand the EGU visitors and the EPOS community will be informed on the achievements of each community with dedicated EPOS-driven events managed by the 10 different EPOS Thematic Core Services key players. The TCS will show the EPOS data, products and service provision, pointing out their present status and future challenges.
