Community

The European Plate Observing System community is made up of scientists, researchers, technicians and administrators that work and study in the field of the solid Earth science willing to:

  1. Optimize the use and development of, a wider and more efficient access to, the best Research Infrastructures for solid Earth science existing in Europe in order to:

    • Help researchers to remain at the forefront of the advancement of research;

    • Help industry to strengthen its base of scientific and technological base;

    • Reinforce the contribution by solid Earth science to the Grand Challenges.

  2. Help to overcome ‘fragmentation’ by structuring the community in order to make it highly competitive and synergic with its counterparts.

The community is open and inclusive. It includes around 300 people belonging to 146 institutes (public Research Institutes, Universities, International Organizations, ecc) from 23 countries. Please, follow this link for further details on EPOS PP founding partners.
